LA DOT POD

A series of podcasts highlighting interviews with LADOT staff, past, present and future.

Continuing with the LA DOT POD series, this podcast focuses on retired LADOT engineer Martha Stephenson whose history is really the history of the City agency. Alan Nakagawa had the opportunity to sit down with her in her amazing garden to talk about her history and the history of LADOT.

Scott Schultz has dedicated his time, storytelling talents, stand up experience, news media pedigree and Los Angeles residency to the unique and colorful stories of LA’s bus riding culture. BUSted is a webcast about bus riding culture in Los Angeles. Facebook | YouTube

Another episode of LA DOT POD with long time LADOT veteran, John Fisher. John is partly a historian and has contributed a large amount of history on the LADOT website: ladot.lacity.org/what-we-do/about-us/history

In this edition of LA DOT POD, we have excerpts from an oral history session with Seleta Reynolds, the General Manager of LADOT.

LA DOT POD presents an intimate discussion about Los Angeles with former LADOT GM, Frankee Banerjee.

LA DOT POD is proud to present an edited version of an oral history session with Aram Sahakian, who was on staff for LADOT over two and a half decades.

A bit of a podcast take over LADOT POD joins with Biketalk/ KPFK FM. Alan Nakagawa talks about his education into the world of ghost bikes and the fifth year anniversary of the death of bicyclist Alan Deanne.

Alan Nakagawa, Creative Catalyst Artist in Residence, Los Angeles Department of Transportation interviews Nat Gale, head of Vision Zero, LADOT.
